Share Your Toxic Black Mold Story

Toxic Black Mold Stories is a forum for anyone who has been unfortunate enough to be exposed to toxic black mold. It really helps to know that there are other people that understand what it is like to have toxic black mold syndrome.

One of the reasons toxic black mold syndrome is so difficult to deal with is the lack of social support that usually occurs for a number of reasons.

People always have trouble dealing with that which they do not understand. Not many people have experienced toxic black mold syndrome, so not many people can relate to it. Therefore it is difficult for them to empathize with the plight of the mold toxic person. People understand rheumatoid arthritis or cancer and will rush to the aid of anyone struck with these well known diseases.

When I was trying to figure out what my symptoms were due to, I went to doctors who "could not find anything wrong with me". This led family and friends to think that there was something wrong with me, only exclusively in my head. There were very few people besides my mom that gave me much sympathy. There were even fewer people who understood what I was going through.

I remenber I always felt better when I found some website with personal stories of people exposed to toxic black mold. I just felt that I was not alone in my suffering anymore and that helped to lift my spirits tremendously.

Because this disease is not recognized or looked for in the medical community it is being largely ingnored. This is a shame because so many people with it's mysterious symptoms could be found and treated successfully. Toxic black mold syndrome should be considered anytime testing does not reveal a diagnosis for a patient suffering from odd symptoms. It really should be screened routinely for by asking simple questions about the patient's living and working environment.
